دار وگ

خشک آمد کشتگاه من

در جوار کشت همسایه.

گرچه می‌گویند: "می‌گریند روی ساحل نزدیک

سوگواران در میان سوگواران."

قاصد روزان ابری، داروگ! کی می‌رسد باران؟



بر بساطی که بساطی نیست

در درون کومه‌ی تاریک من که ذره‌ای با آن نشاطی نیست

و جدار دنده‌های نی به دیوار اطاقم دارد از خشکیش می‌ترکد

- چون دل یاران که در هجران یاران-

THE TREE TOAD/DARVAG:
My farm is barren
next to my neighbor's farm
though it is said:
On nearby shore
mournful among mournful
are crying
but tree toad!
messenger of cloudy days
when it is going to rain?
On a stal that is not a stall
in my dark hut that is all joyless
in which the reeds ribs on the wall
are breaking dry,
O tree toad!

when is it going to rain?

DARVAG or DAR VAG,also VAGDAR or VAG DAR,
it is tree toad in Nima's Mazandarani language,in that
DAR,is dar or derakht in Farsi,and tree in English
VAG,is ghurbagheh,toad,a land breed of the amphibian:frog.
In Nima's poem DARVAG ,a lonely of lonlies,or a lonely with the neighbor, is always a happy news bearer or messenger of hope.
Nima is trying to bring hope with calling this repeatedly.
It is like a happy hour to make our day!
